Pawscape is a local haven exuding happiness in every corner. Here, dogs, cats, and their owners come together in a vibrant atmosphere, supported by a professional team of trainers and professionals available round the clock. in addition, what sets Pawscape apart is its inclusive approach, offering tailored activities for children with disabilities, complete with qualified trainers and dedicated social workers volunteering their time for years.
Pawscape captured my attention through its unique activities, prompting me to embark on a pro bono project to elevate its brand. Upon diving into the project, I was struck by the craftsmanship and raw energy of the place—a bustling hub filled with playfulness and laughter.
Playful Identity
The word that resonated most with me during my encounter with Pawscape was “craft.” It’s a place teeming with expertise and dedication, embodied in its raw form. I aimed to capture this essence and infuse it with a playful touch.
To kick off the project, we defined the brand’s values and brainstormed ideas, assigning nouns and adjectives to better grasp the emotions evoked by the space. Our goal was to imbue the brand with a sense of childlike wonder and playfulness.
I developed a bespoke design language for Pawscape, featuring a personalized logo handwritten by one of the children participating in the disability program. Additionally, we crafted a brand book outlining usage guidelines, iconization, and design templates. Our collaboration extended to creating various designs for their social media presence, marketing materials, and citywide posters.
